The development of soft skills, which range from communication skills and teamwork to time management and decision-making, is essential. Though not easy to quantify by tests, soft skills are important for the European Skills Agenda. However, high atomisation and the absence of rigorous and affordable training and assessment methods constitute critical gaps between soft skills on one side and the education and the labour market on the other. In this context, the EU-funded MEGASKILLS project will fill these gaps by designing an innovative methodology for soft skills taxonomy based on industry and education needs. It will develop training and evaluation techniques through data from players’ interactions with their favourite video games, AI, and machine-learning algorithms.
